9 Days Kenya Safari

Destination: Lake Nakuru / Lake Baringo / Lake Bogoria / Lake Naivasha / Maji Moto / Masai Mara

Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru

08.00h start your safari in Nairobi. Travel North-West into the Great Rift Valley. Stop over at escarpment view point followed by continued drive to Lake Nakuru for full day GD with lunch at Flamingo Camp. After lunch continue with more Game Drives round the park till late afternoon followed by drive up to Menengai Crater-rim for dinner and overnight. Lake Nakuru National Park is world famous for its millions of Flamingos as well as Black and White Rhinos.

Overnight at Maili Saba Camp (L, D)

Day 2: Lake Nakuru - Lake Baringo

After breakfast depart to Lake Baringo. OPTIONAL: Early morning guided crater walk can be arranged for extra cost. Drive that day will take you further North up the Rift Valley with crossing Equatorial line on the way. Afternoon at Lake Baringo leisure visiting nearby sites as well as "Lake view point" visit with Sundowner.

Day 3: Lake Baringo - Lake Bogoria - Lake Baringo

Early Morning Lake Baringo-Boat Ride in company of local ornitological guide. Lake Baringo, a fresh water Rift Valley lake, famous for its magnificent bird life, Hippos and Crocodiles. After Breakfast depart with packed lunch for a day trip with Game Drives to Lake Bogoria national reserve, where you shall experience the hot water geysers as well as good number of wild game and birdlife. The reserve is famous for its Flamingo and Pelican population, spouting fountains of boiling water from the geysers and captivating views of Rift Valley`s steep walls. OPTIONAL: Cultural visits to Pokot, Tugen & Njemps tribe can be arranged for extra cost.

Day 4: Lake Baringo - Lake Naivasha

After breakfast depart back South to Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is second largest freshwater lake in the Kenya`s Rift valley. It is a unique hippo point and aquatic-bird viewing destination. The area is also known for its Flower farming. While on a drive round the lake you will stop over at Elsamere, the home of Joy and George Adamson (Born Free foundation). Centre is a bird lover`s paradise with more than 260 species of bird. You will visit museum, watch a movie and have tea at the garden with splendid lake view. Continue your journey to Crater Lake for lunch. Afternoon guided walking safari round these mysterious crater with evening bubbly Sundowner from the view point.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Maji Moto

After breakfast depart West deep into the Great Rift Valley, driving via Narok town to reach Maji Moto village for lunch. Afternoon spent in camp orientation, guided Nature Walk and Maasai Cultural briefing with fire making presentation "Maasai style" followed by winding down the day with camp fire stories in company of local host.

Day 6: Maji Moto

Nestled on a hilltop deep in Maasai lands and overlooking vast savannah plains, Maji Moto Eco Camp is a small, environmentally-sensitive retreat. Operated by Maasai people from the nearby village of Maji Moto, a stay here will immerse you not only in the intense natural beauty of the Loita Hills, but also in the ancient culture and knowledge of the Maasai. Full day activities will be organized for you that day. Starting with morning Loita Hills trek for splendid views over the area. Afternoon camp leisure preparing for descent into Maji Moto village centre (on foot or with mountain bike) to check out how life runs in these small remote African village. After dinner, If you`ll prefer, bathing under the stars at hot-springs can be arranged. OPTIONAL: Night GD can be arranged for extra cost.

Day 7: Maji Moto - Masai Mara

After breakfast - Maasai Warrior training; measuring skills in Sasol stick fighting, spear throwing and archer will be organized followed by departure to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, probably the highlight of your trip! GD en-route to your camp with afternoon GD till evening wirh Sundowner, following BIG FIVE at this world`s prime Wild reserve.

Overnight at Matira Bush Camp (Standard Tents) (B,L,D)

Day 8: Masai Mara

Morning & Afternoon GD at these exceptional wilderness, Africa`s Wildlife Reserve with the biggest population of lions. Masai Mara also hosts yearly event (June-October) "Great Wildebeest migration". An amazing spectacle when millions of wildebeest migrate from Serengeti in search for greener pastures. OPTIONAL: Hot-air Balloon flight can be organized with prior arrangements!

Overnight at Matira Bush Camp (Standard Tents) (B,L,D)

Day 9: Masai Mara - Nairobi

Early morning Game Drives. Return to camp for breakfast followed by departure back towards Nairobi. OPTIONAL: This Safari can be extended to TANZANIA via Isebania border-crossing (with another overnight at Siria-escarpment and another Full day GD at Masai Mara)!

- Pries are quoted per person in USD. Price 4+ represents 7, 8 & 9 guests in the group as another vehicle will be added. For 1 guest in the group "Supplement for single room/tent" is already included in the price. Children below 3 years of age - free of charge. Children above 3 and below 12 years of age sharing room with 1 Adult "Supplement for Child <12 in own room/tent" will be added. Children 12 years of age and above full Adult rate applies.

- All Prices are confidential, quoted net and NON commissionable! We reserve the right to adjust our rates without notice if necessary. However, we will not increase any rates for bookings that have been confirmed with a deposit.

- Seasonal Supplements might apply for some accommodations in "HIGH SEASON" months of December, January, July, August & September as well for Easter, Christmas & New Year`s holidays. If traveling in that period, pleas confirm with our reservations for correct quotation.
