  • Explore Nairobi National Park, a beautiful wildlife sanctuary only 6 miles (10 km) from Kenya's capital
  • Get up close with species of rhino, lions, leopards, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and many more
  • Stay on the lookout for the park's hundreds of birds species, including at least 20 seasonal European migrants

Then, you'll visit David Sheldrick Elephant orphanage, where young orphaned elephants are brought after being rescued and fed until they are mature to be released to the wild. This attraction is only open for an hour a day, from 1100-1200 hrs. Once on site you are directed to an open area that is roped off and then within a few minutes all the orphaned elephants come running in to get fed. These baby elephants are within mere feet of you has the handlers feed them and let them interact. A very enjoyable experience and demonstration of the efforts to save small elephants that are orphaned primarily because of illegal poaching. Great cause and experience! Next, is a visit to the: -

Giraffe Center

Giraffe Centre where you feed the friendly Rothchilds Giraffe. The Giraffe Center was started by Jock Leslie-Melville, the Kenyan grandson of a Scottish Earl, when he and his wife Betty captured a baby giraffe to start a programme of breeding giraffe in captivity at their home in Langata - home of the present center. Since then the programme has had huge success, resulting in the introduction of several breeding pairs of Rothschild Giraffe into Kenyan national parks.

In 1979, Leslie-Melville added an education centre to his (then still private) giraffe sanctuary. By 1983 he had raised enough money to establish the Giraffe Visitor's Center as a tourist destination in Nairobi.

The main attraction for visitors is feeding giraffes from a raised observation platform. The Giraffe Center is also home to several warthogs which freely roam the area along with the giraffes. It’s such an exhilarating experience you can’t afford to miss!!!

You will then break for lunch at the Mamba village (crocodile park- own expense) plus some free time for shopping at the Garellia shopping mall and Love Birds gift shops. Then, visit the

Karen Blixen museum, the house in the movie out of Africa. The farm that the Danish author of the famed memoir Out of Africa lived on from 1917 to 1931 is now a museum, much of the 1985 Oscar-winning movie adaptation was shot on the grounds. A tour of the house is an intimate experience — in one corner is a lantern that Blixen hung on her veranda to let her ill-fated lover, English hunter Denys Finch Hatton, know she was home, and his monogrammed books still line the shelves.

Finally, visit Bomas of Kenya - Nairobi Tribal Tour Place named a tourist village in Langata, Nairobi. Bomas (homesteads) displays traditional villages belonging to the several Kenyan tribes. Enjoy local tradition dances and acrobats and clients join as well in celebration local culture.

Your tour will finish around 4:30pm with drop off at your hotel for a deserved rest.
